SOC's Blog Hop - Day 3

Hi Everyone!!

I hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend.  This is Day 3 of the Blog Hop for Scraps of Color.  If you have never checked out the ning site, please do so.  It is free to join and the Ladies and Gentlemen there are awesome and their creativiity is endless.

I decided to make a book as my last project for the hop.  As I state in the video, I can't really call this a mini album because it is rather large...9 1/4 x 7 1/4.  :-)   I used my Cinch to bind the album.  I think I need larger wires as the largest size I had were 1.0 and I think I need 1.25 or 1.50.  I will pick some up later and change out the wires because as you put pictures in the album, it will expand.

I used The Summer Days stack by DCWV, some stickers, Martha Stewart punches, corner chompers, epoxy stickers, various charms and the Beach Bum printable stamp from The Cutting Cafe.  I think this project turned out great...Very vibrant and reminds me of summertime.  Let me know what you think!

Again, Please don't forget to comment on all of the blogs to be eligible for the prize of Scraps of Color.  Also, don't forget to leave a comment on each of my posts for the blog hop and become a follower of my blog, if you aren't already, in order to be eligible for my blog candy.

Below is a video and pics of the project.  Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!!

SOC's Blog Hop - Day 2

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for Day 2 of the Hop.  I hope you all are enjoying the projects as well as your weekend!!  For Day 2, I decided to do a layout.  I don't do many layouts as I am addicted to making mini albums.  That being said, I hope this layout measures up to those that are pros at doing them.  :-)

I used The Summer Days paper stack by DCWV.  I just adhered the paper to some chipboard with hot glue so that it would have some stability.  I used Recollections flowers from Michaels as well as the flowers in the calipso tin that Michaels used to sell (I don't think they sell them anymore).  The lawn chair is a sticker, the flip flops and the title are from the paper stack.  The ribbon slider and flatback pearl are from Babbers1891 on youtube.

Video and pics are posted below.

Thanks again for coming back for Day 2 of my projects for the hop and don't forget to leave a comment and become a follower if you are't already to be eligible for the blog candy.  I hope you all stop back by tomorrow for my last project of the hop.

For the blog hop, I have created 3 projects.  I will be posting 1 project a day from Friday - Sunday.  Below are pics my project for Friday, June 22, 2012.

This is a cup card.  I LOVE pink lemonade and nothing says Summer like a tall glass of lemonade.  I got the tutorial on how to make this card from Splitcoast Stampers.  The sentiment on the glass is from The Cutting Cafe.  The lemon wedge is from Michael's; the pearls in the body of the butterfly's are from Recollections and in the middle of the sentiment is a ribbon slider and a pearl.  I also put stickles around the rim of the cup.

In order to be eligible for my blog candy, you will need to be a subscriber to my blog and make a comment on each project by Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11pm EST.  Here is a pic of my blog candy.

Sweet Stuff

Hi Everyone,

Happy Hump Day!!  I hope everyone is have a great week so far.  My week has been a lil busy but that's ok.  I'm really glad that the weekend is almost here but especially glad that my weekend starts early as I am off Friday.  WoooHoooooooooooo!!

Ok, back to the reason for this post.  Over at The Cutting Cafe, we had a choice of the Sweet Stuff Printable Stamp Set and the Sweet Stuff Card Set for this weeks challenge.  I used something from each set and made 2 cards.  I also used a sentiment from the Something Old, New, Borrowed Blue Set.  The sets assigned this week were really fun to work with.

Be sure to check out The Cutting Cafe as there are tons of files for whatever you need and they are really affordable.  Also, check out the The Cutting Cafe Blog.  On Wednesday's, it's Inspiration Time where all of the projects created by the fabulous ladies on the design team are presented.

Thanks for stopping by.  Pics and videos are listed below.

WOC Open Design Team Call - Wedding Cake

Hi Everyone!

Wild Orchid Crafts is having an open design team call.  When I saw the video, I immediately thought of Weddings.  Last year, I coordinated a wedding and her cake was absolutely beautiful.  I started thinking that the cake would be the perfect project for the design team call.

I created the boxes using chipboard and covered them with the cricut 12x24 white paper.  The paper has a texture to it that I thought was perfect for weddings.  The pearls are from Recollections and the ribbon trim with the pearls is from Hobby Lobby.

The cake houses thank you notes that are tied with some organza ribbon from Joanns with a Trellis Rose attached.  I didn't embellish the cris-cross cards because I needed them to lay flat for the purpose of this project.  However, I will embellish them so that they are ready when I need a card for special occasions.

The flowers that I used are listed below:

MIXED WHITE/CREAM TONE MULBERRY PAPER TRELLIS ROSES 1½" (40mm)

CREAM CLASSIC SWEET MULBERRY PAPER ROSES 1½" (40mm)

MIXED RED TONE HIP ROSEBUDS

WHITE MULBERRY PAPER HEATHER STEM FLOWERS

2-TONE GREEN/YELLOW CALLA LILY FLOWERS

WHITE MULBERRY PAPER OPEN ROSES 1" (25mm)

WHITE PEARL SPRAY

GREEN MULBERRY PAPER FERN LEAVES

Pics and video are below.  Good Luck to all who try out for the design team.  Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.
